Annie Margaret Judd

Annie Judd Williams, my grandmother, recorded memories of her parents, Robert Reid Judd and Emma Ratcliffe Judd. She died 4 August 1980, just before her ninetieth birthday. Robert Reid Judd was the son of William Riley Judd.

  1. Listening to your grandmother was a special experience for me. It reminded me so much of my own grandmothers. Did you get the recording yourself?

  4. I did not make this recording. It was made before 1975 and recently put on a CD. One of the people on the recording died in 1975.

  6. How wonderful and amazing and valuable! I wish I had something like that for some of my relatives! There is nothing better than listening to than our grandmothers telling stories. Oh I just loved it!

  7. Hi Becky,

I tried to reconize your face, I know you are one of my cousins, I am Karen Williams Spanbauer, daughter of Noel Judd Williams. I believe your a daughter of Della Williams Lawrence, am I right? This is a wonderful website. I wanted to listen to Grandma Annie Judd Wiliams recording but I am deaf and I wonder if you have a transcript of her recording that you could send to me? I was reading some of William Riley Judd's stories as I was cleaning out our office, and read his stories and thought I look it up on the internet and found your website. How neat!! I have about 12 pages about William Riley Judd life. I very much remember Grandma Williams, how I loved to visit her and play with cousins and in her backyard. I remember grandma always had a sweet personaility, always was there on the couch waiting for us to arrive. I have been having lots of dreams about her house in Grantsville lately, the warm memories there, I have come to love that place where Grandma lived. I remember the milk she would always have in the back of the house with the cream on top and the homemade butter from the cream she would put on the table at Thanksgiving and Christmas when we had family gathering. Do you remember that?? Anyway I could go on and on.

  8. Hi Karen,
Yes, I am Della Williams Lawrence's daughter. Thanks for sharing your memories of grandma, they are part of my memories also. I do not have a transcript of the recording, but would love to make you one..Just give me a few weeks and I will send it to you. Your mom and dad have been so good to me. I talk with them often, they have been so kind and supportive to me. I graduated from BYU in April and they came to my graduation. If you go to my Facebook page (Becky Kimber) my daughter Tammy Marx posted the pictures she took of my graduation and you will see your mom and dad.
